Driving along a country road in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York one blustery winter day I encountered this abandoned farmhouse. With the dramatic grey skies, the snow, and the old house weathered by time, the scene was essentially monochromatic, even before conversion to black and white. A large old home, it must have once been full of vibrant life, but now sits still and quiet, creaking in the wind.
