While Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York is more commonly observed with waves, on this quiet, peaceful, early morning the thick, low lying fog obscured the opposite shore of the lake in late autumn, and these trees leaned out from a spit of land over the uncharacteristically calm water.
